INTRODUCTION TO CERAMICS:

(2.5 hr session for all ages :)

Great for beginners to learn basic techniques such as pinching & coiling. Can make 2-3 pieces e.g. cup, mug, bowl or other interesting items during the session. Do book ahead of time to get your desired slot.

It generally takes about 3 weeks to dry, bisque & glaze your pieces in the kiln before you can pick it up 😎.

Handmade ceramic pieces are one-of-a-kind. The materials used were carefully selected, prepared and processed step-by-step from the beginning till the end. Each piece thrown from the wheel or sculpted by hand made with devotion, heart and a lil bit of artistic flair. Even the logo was linocut & printed onto the bags uniquely. Wabi-Sabi style denotes the japanese way of discovering beauty in imperfections. Specks & flecks form as part of the glazing. Sometimes during the final firing process depending on where the pieces were placed in the kiln, may warp very slightly. But this is truly the beauty of the final ceramic piece. It has its own character filled with its own charm.

Machine-made ceramics pieces are the usual ones you can get from any major brand.

There is no comparison to owning your own unique piece autographed by the artist herself. Enjoy.

All ceramic pieces are glazed with high firing lead-free glazes at cone 5-6 (1200 - 1260 degrees) safe for eating and drinking.
